This Italian cheese appetizer recipe came from my friend, Amy D., and it's so good, sometimes I make it even when we're not going anywhere. Only TWO ingredients! Even though these two ingredients come in a box and a jar (I'm getting better all the time, but I'm not sure if I'll ever be completely away from that), they're still pretty healthy.
Easy Cheesy Appetizer
This dip is amazing with toasted french bread or your favorite crackers. Thanks, Amy D, for the recipe!
Ingredients
- 2 blocks of Boursin garlic cheese I get it 3 to a package for $7 or $8 at Costco. It's much more expensive in grocery stores.
- 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce
Instructions
- Place two blocks of Boursin garlic cheese on a buttered serving dish. Pour 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce over the top. Bake at 350* for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm with dippers of choice. Crackers or crusty bread are both delicious!
Can you believe how easy that is? You really won't believe how yummy it tastes!

Boursin as the cheese on cheeseburgers. Try it!

Shauna, that IS a good suggestion!
Maggie, that’s just it, though – I’d like to try to get away from cooking from jars or boxes or bags as much as I can, but I’ve got a long way to go! Also, unfortunately we don’t have a TJ’s nearby anyway. What I’d really like is a Whole Foods Market near us, but it may be a looooong time….. 🙁
Sometimes if you can find jars with not-so-bad ingredient labels, I can’t say as I mind the convenience now and then!

That sounds soooo tasty, especially with Shauna’s addition of sourdough bread. 🙂

MMMMMMM yummy! I love boursin! I’ve been able to find some good kashi crackers that serve as a “compromise treat” for us for such things as this. A good sourdough artisan bread would go well with this too.
